New simulation on Ludus’ VR platform: Waste management!

Continuing its commitment to optimizing and updating its product catalog, Ludus has introduced a new Virtual Reality simulation on its training platform: Waste management.

Global data highlights the critical need for proper waste management in companies:

• The European Union generates over 2.1 billion tons of waste annually (European Parliament). 
• In 2020, 3.7 million tons of plastic waste entered the ocean from Latin American countries (United Nations). 
• Spanish companies produce approximately 137.8 million tons of waste each year (National Statistics Institute).

What does the Waste management VR simulation involve?

In the Waste management simulation, the trainee stands in front of a conveyor belt moving various waste items. The task is to pick up objects and place them in the correct container.

There are 5 types of waste and 5 containers: glass, packaging, paper and cardboard, organic, and general waste.

The exercise ends when the trainee makes three mistakes, which are displayed on a results panel alongside their score. A leaderboard is also generated, enabling competitive dynamics.

As time progresses, the conveyor belt's speed gradually increases, making it harder to avoid errors and ultimately ending the exercise.
